My Journey into Hypnotherapy
A common question I frequently receive is, "How did I become involved in hypnotherapy?" The truth is, my journey into the world of hypnotism began long before I had any formal knowledge of hypnotherapy.
I vividly recall my very first therapeutic encounter with a hypnotic state.
But let me pause for a moment and clarify something essential: we all naturally experience hypnotic states in our daily lives at least two to three times a day. These are those moments just before we drift off to sleep, as we wake up in the morning, or in instances when we lose track of time and space, moving through tasks on autopilot (like watching a movie, brushing our teeth, or commuting to work).
Now, back to my story. My initial therapeutic experience with a hypnotic state occurred during a Kundalini meditation and rebirthing session that lasted over 90 minutes. The meditation focused on journeying back in time to receive messages from past lives. I became so deeply entranced that I couldn't distinguish between dream and reality. In this altered state of consciousness, I found myself extraordinarily present and aware, yet in a trance-like mode. In this state, I received profound messages that provided guidance on a significant struggle I was facing at the time.
This experience piqued my interest in understanding the mind: What exactly happens during meditation? How could my mind transport me to such places? How did my well-being improve merely through the power of imagination? Why did a shift in my mental state induce profound physical relaxation? These questions propelled me into a journey to learn more about the state I had experienced, which I later learned was the hypnotic state. I learned that in that state brain waves shift into theta and alpha frequencies, making the mind receptive to suggestions and opening the door to profound personal growth.
As my curiosity deepened, I began to explore longer meditations, deliberately entering hypnotic states, and using them as tools for my personal transformation. I also embarked on teaching Kundalini yoga, realizing that yogic practices and meditations serve as a form of therapeutic hypnosis by altering both our physical and mental states, transporting us to elevated dimensions.

So my journey with hypnotherapy actually began on my yoga mat and eventually, ed me to the Hypnosis Motivation Institute , where I obtained my diploma in hypnotherapy. I also earned specializations in aiding individuals with stress and anxiety relief, confidence-building, overcoming mental blocks, and most recently, an advanced certification in helping people quit smoking.
Hypnotherapy can support individuals in profound ways, impacting personal growth and transformation, emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
My approach has evolved over the past years and I now use a very gentle, energetic, and intuitive approach. Where suitable, I combine Kundalini yoga teachings and a somatic approach to the therapy.
My ultimate aim is to use support people in reaching new heights, leaping higher, soaring farther and trusting in themselves to become who they were always meant to be ????
