My Journey from IR to IT

I began my journey as an English and International Relations student, delving into the complexities of global dynamics, superpowers, foreign policies, doctrines, economics, international humanitarian laws, ethics, and international theories. My focus was to explore the intricate landscape of global affairs, pressing issues, emerging trends, and the perspectives that have shaped the world stage.

The transition from International Relations to IT was swift and effective. I vividly remember my first day in the IT field—feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how I would succeed without a relevant background. Initially, I conducted extensive research to understand the new environment. Starting as a Sales Representative was a significant challenge, not only from a sales perspective (as many sales professionals can relate) but also as someone with limited knowledge of IT, particularly in cloud computing and emerging innovative solutions.

Day by day, I began to develop a growing interest in the intersection of technology and business. I was lucky to receive support and guidance from my superiors and colleagues, for which I am immensely grateful. This support allowed me to explore and enhance new skills, complementing my existing abilities to analyze issues, articulate ideas effectively, and engage with diverse perspectives—skills that are invaluable in any field.

My journey took me from a Sales Representative to a Sales and Marketing Manager, where I discovered a deep passion for the sector and a desire to stay ahead by applying my skills in an industry that is rapidly evolving. During this period, I quickly recognized the transformative power of technology in shaping the future of business. Driven by curiosity and a relentless enthusiasm to learn and grow, I not only acquired but also applied marketing strategies, tools, and processes to the sales lifecycle. Each new skill and capability I developed motivated me to continue in this field and constantly enhance my abilities.

This knowledge enabled me to transition into the role of an IT Business Developer, where I now work at the forefront of technological innovation. I apply everything I have learned—whether through self-driven efforts or from the professionals I have encountered during my journey.

In my current role, I leverage my background in communication and international relations to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. I focus on identifying opportunities where cloud solutions can add value, developing strategies to implement these technologies, and ensuring that clients fully understand and benefit from the advancements in IT.

My journey from English and International Relations to IT and Cloud Computing highlights my adaptability and commitment to continuous learning. It has taught me that while technology may be complex, the core of success in any field lies in understanding people, their needs, and how best to serve and satisfy them. This commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence is one of the most important values I bring to my work.
