I’m here to share some news and some reflections, and am beyond excited to be doing so as one of Further ’s Co-Founders.?

I'm thrilled to share this article with you, and to share the story of our journey so far.?

Along with my wonderful co-founders, Ginni Lisk and Nathan Callaghan , we’re lifting the lid on the personal experiences, observations and - frankly - general sense of underwhelm that we all share when it comes to the seemingly accepted standards that so many have sadly come to expect from their talent partners.?

We’re also reclaiming and proudly redefining that word; ‘Talent’. (Read on to understand why and how!)?

What ‘Going Further’ Means to Me?

2023 was, for me (as it was for so many others) a year of surviving, not thriving. And after reflecting on that survival experience, and everything that had led up to that point, as I appreciate so many people-centric leaders have also been left contemplating, the feeling of ‘enough is enough’, is strong!??

I've always been motivated by unlocking the full potential of individuals and teams. From the earliest stages of my career in agency recruitment, to leading teams and driving strategic initiatives as a Head of Talent, every role and every company I’ve consulted, worked for or partnered with has been a learning opportunity. I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible people, shaping strategies and contributing to the pacy and ambitious growth of some incredibly powerful brands, creating jobs and opportunity for many along the way.?

But, as my career progressed, I became increasingly aware of a disconnect that I believe is holding companies back.?

I’m passionate about the intersection of Recruitment and HR/People; about both talent acquisition and talent retention, about candidate experience and People Experience in general.?

I recognise the immense value that could be unlocked by bridging these two essential components of what should be an aligned strategy, but has disappointingly, become a divided approach, particularly in the third-party space.?

Now, as a Co-Founder at Further, I'm excited to take this personal passion forward.?

We’re here to go further, to break convention and offer a unique blend of recruitment and People consultancy. Why does this resonate so much for me? …Because I've seen firsthand the transformative power of aligning recruitment and HR strategies.?

It's about more than filling open roles; it's about designing those jobs effectively to start with, creating an environment where a broader candidate base is being considered and crafting workplace cultures that enable those joining a new company, to belong as part of cultures that effectively retain, enable and support human beings and their wonderful array of diverse perspectives.?

Reclaiming What ‘Talent’ Means

Further is here to help companies tackle everything I mentioned in the previous paragraph, and so so by making digestible improvements to the systems, structures and practices that correlate directly with unlocking the full potential of their talented team members.?

We’re judgement-free. We’re not here to assess, label or intimidate our clients. We’re here to empathise, diagnose and deliver change that matters. Our purposeful approach at Further is rooted in fairness, transparency, impact, and a deep understanding of the evolving talent landscape. We're not just an agency; we're a Talent Consultancy and the architects of comprehensive, sustainable talent strategies.

Our mission statement is this: Further exists to add dramatically more value, amplify potential, and give back boldly to those changing the world for the better.?
