My journey into the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

I'm planning on writing a series of articles documenting my progress into the implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) at Cogworks.
For those of you who don’t know or haven’t heard about it, EOS is basically a set of simple tools that helps you run your business efficiently and effectively, helping you structure the company and plan growth in a measured and controlled way.
Created by Gino Wickman, the system has been written up and provided as a book called ‘Traction’ which I have read and distributed to the rest of the team at Cogworks.
I'm currently in the initial phases of the implementation and will be recording my progress mainly in my blog and the first full article describes why I'm implementing EOS.
Some initial thoughts though...
Core Features of EOS
The ethos behind the EOS is that pretty much every business can be broken down into 6 key areas:-
- Vision
- People
- Data
- Issues
- Process
- Traction
The idea being, if you can master all 6 of these areas, then you are on your way to having a healthy, thriving and growing business. Over the coming weeks I’ll write about these individually, primarily to help me make sense of them in my own mind, but also to try and explain the process to anyone else who might be interested due to a period of stagnant growth in their own business.
Anyway, watch out for more in this series of articles, posts and helpful tips as I document my journey through the implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System at Cogworks. I am currently right at the start of this exciting journey, so I hope you enjoy joining me to see how it goes!
