My Journey of a Decade with IT & SAP

Wow. Ten years, A decade !!!

It's been an incredible ride. Through the ups and downs (and there have been plenty of both). Today, is one of the most memorable and most important day in my life as I complete a decade in this IT industry. I deliberately want to look back and review my early days. Of course we all need to do every now and then but a decade is a significant milestone. Exactly 10 years back on this day, I stepped into the whole new world, the so called "IT or Professional World" with a lot of enthusiasm as well anxiety. As I wished, I joined in a company working on technologies which I wanted to learn & grow, "TCS". I still feel proud when I name the company.

Days passed, met different people from different geography in India, made friends and had fun filled training phase in Haldia, West Bengal. Of course we had learnt new things, technology insights in the training along with maximum fun. It was again unforgettable, happiest sprint in my life and hope for my fellow batch mates too. Remembering you all once again. 

I got into my first ever SAP project as I wished and many thanks to my 1st manager, Team lead, mentor, Friend, Mr. Shanahas who trusted me and provided opportunity to be a part of such an efficient and jazzed up team of Croma Retail project.

The learnings and knowledge I got in my initial days, helped me driving my career even in times of ups and downs, success and failure. I had become a guy who want to explore things, take challenges and never to get in to the comfort zone. That made me to move around different companies, different geographies, learn and explore different technologies, meet different people and experience different culture which is inevitable for a true professional.

Down the line in this journey I met different people, worked with them closely and some of them also inspired me by their professionalism from whom I learnt different professional attributes. To name a few, Anita Kulkarni at Shapoorji Pallonji, Nilesh Shah & Ashwathi at Accely, Kishor Wagh, Khusro and Ameena at Engineering Office, Gaurav Sharma at SAP, Daminder, Ali Rey and Gokul at EmiratesNBD. I wanted to list down these names so that I can think of these people at this moment who are directly or indirectly helped me to what I am today and for the future too.

Last but not least, my parents, my wife Namrata and my son Mivaan who are the ultimate motivation and everything for me for whatever I've done, doing and will do. I thank them for their support and sacrifice till date and for the future too as I have still long way to go and achieve even many things.

This decade is a pure foundation for the next decade. I certainly want to comeback at the end of next decade and review it again as what I am today and what I will be 10 years down the line. I pray god almighty to provide me and my family strength and wellness and help me in achieving great things in life and serve for the social well being. I may be little exaggerate here or if someone thinks so. Whatever the quantity of success small or big, if I am not admired of it or praise it then who else can.

If someone reads till this further, I am grateful to them too for their time and patience and to bear with me if I am bored/irritated somewhere or feel happy, if I could inspire/motivate someone in this article. I wish your blessings too for great success in all my future endeavors.
