The years 2017 to 2019 were a blend of experience with new learnings.
In the year 2017, I made a tough decision to leave the organization where I spent almost half of a decade (5 years) because I wanted to grow my mindset and also wanted to take on more responsibilities. During that course of time, I got the opportunity to work with one of the most prominent German organizations, special thanks to Gorakh Prasad for the smooth onboarding.
During the course of my journey with a German organization, I met with Indian great leaders, from them I learned what management is, what is micro planning, how to execute tasks, and how to be cool in pressurized situations. few named as follows.
1.???? Abhishek Kumar | LinkedIn
2.???? umesh srivastava
3.????kumaran r a | LinkedIn
5. Ashwani kumar
Kuldeep Singh Kapil Kharve Raunak Singh and many more.

?b.????To be a champion, compete.
????????? To be a great champion, compete with the best.
????????? But to be the greatest champion, compete with yourself.

The above quotes triggered me a lot as I was the man who got a good opportunity to start the brownfield projects with an amazing client and contractor and of course, my seniors cum friends mentioned above.
The day started and I was about to go to the site and take part in any mechanical activity that was going to start on-site, thanks to Ashwini Kumar and Abhishek Kumar who gave me the opportunity on the very first week of joining and encouraged me to explore the activities with a creative mindset. Lessons learned from leaders were.

1.???? Stay away from social media during prime hours.
The human mind is not made for multi-tasking we should focus on one task and finish it before jumping to the next one is the optimum way to achieve the desired productivity, one day when I observed my senior carrying two mobile phones with app notifications off and put both devices on table with opposite side screen, few days I thought its natural but when I observed the pattern again and again my mind allow me to think off as I was very junior I did not courage to ask him the reason?? In our every discussion, he was actively listening keeping phones aside analyzing the problem statement and giving solutions after a deep understanding of the subject matter. Long story short “Keep the mind focused on what exactly you are doing, if you are playing just only playing if dancing just dancing only, and so on.
” I am still in the learning phase to adopt this habit, you can also try, seems simple but not easy to attain."
2.???? Involve yourself in critical discussions and listen carefully.
In projects on every alternate day, you are going to handle various and different critical points which may have different causes like confusion, incomplete information, and not proper RACI chart division of roles and responsibilities. You should be involved with such discussions, and understand the problem statement and solution, the idea is the number of tough situations you handled in life, it becomes easy for you to deal with next time if similar circumstances arise, I faced many similar in my career and smiled internally while giving solution to my co-workers.
"The inner confidence you feel on that occasion of similar issues will be amazing for sure."

3.???? Decide quickly by analyzing the impact otherwise may be late in the game.
Truly inspired by my Seniors cum leaders Anupam Singh and Malay Kumar , once upon a time while sitting at Delhi Airport we were discussing critical materials shortages against the available engineering deliverables and the whole lot was so critical and ordered from China, they reviewed my understanding and analyze the case impact and on the airport itself share the decision to travel to China in 2019 for the expediting the delivery from vendor place, this was my first stamp on the passport and then the list goes on and on.
Just I want to emphasize the case that problem-solving with a decision in an appropriate way and in a short span is very important in the game of projects.
4.???? You become what you do or what you think you......
A small story but interesting while working with a Chinese contractor and an Indian client we were having daily meetings and we as PMC asked many technical+ progress-related questions from the translator and he spoke with Chinese higher officers and then translated and informed their answers in English and then we communicate the statements to our client, believe me first few months it was very terrible and to come on a conclusion on small tasks was difficult but after few months the translator also learned few technical aspects of the projects and we got more leverage in the many discussions, going further.
"The lesson here is “when your skills merged with domain knowledge you are matchless.”
I am stopping my words here and will share the next very interesting story of Lagos” Nigeria Africa where I spent nearly 3 years of my life 2019-2021. A lot of fun and learning is there. Stay tuned for the exciting abroad experience and will share my thoughts on it.
