My Journey Back Into Telecommunications..
I have always had a passion for Telecommunications. I had to leave it for a while. Life threw me some curve balls as it does to most of us. Now I am on a journey trying to get back to it. Hopefully someone will give me the opportunity.
I started in the business as an installer for Comcast many years ago. I later moved and joined Brighthouse Networks as a Field Service Technician. Then I moved to a more technical Analyst position in the Network Operation Center better known as the NOC. Then I moved into Field Support, where I stayed for several years earning the title Senior Field Support Rep.
After Spectrum acquired Brighthouse Networks my office location was closed and relocated. Being a single father of a young daughter at the time I was not able to maintain the demanding schedule of work, the new distance from home and school, and taking care of my young daughter. So after approximately 14 years in the business, I regretfully had to leave Spectrum.
Now years later, my daughter has grown and matured into a young lady and is involved in many activities and old enough to allow myself to seek other options since I now have much more flexibility. So now I am searching for a position in which I can restart a new career back into my first love, which is telecommunications. I know with my past experience and my new experience, I could nearly hit the ground running and create an immediate positive impact. However to my surprise, my applications are not getting the consideration I thought they would. Even with the years of experience!
Over the last several years I have gained even more valuable experience that I can apply into any role wherever I go. I have been working mostly in my second passion which is automotive. Mainly in Manager and Sales roles. These positions have taught me valuable lessons on how to not only manage teams but how to work within the teams.
Over the years I have performed all of my positions with a high rate of success. I have moved from entry level to Management. From Technical to Sales to Customer Service. I can do the work, delegate the work, or share the work. I am a team member and I can lead a team as well. I can sell the company or manage the people that sell the company. I can create happy customers or teach others how to do so.
All I need is the opportunity.
