I got this exciting offer to work with Fusion Consulting Inc in Fall Semester. What I did and How I did it? Let’s start this journey –
In the dilemma to join which firm for a Fall internship with one standing offer and another one in the pipeline, I got this wonderful opportunity to meet with amazing data enthusiasts who were trying to change the way CRM works in the healthcare industry. Fusion Consulting, Inc provides services to help healthcare customers unlock data, from their EHRs and other data sources, to provide a vendor-agnostic approach to achieving clinical outcomes. As part of this approach, Fusion provides a measurable ROI to help evaluate key areas for improvement and a framework to align clinical quality, efficiency, utilization, productivity, and financial objectives.
After three rounds of personality and functional knowledge, the interview got an offer to join as an intern in preparation to join the firm as a consultant if completed the internship. The internship included learning consulting personas and drill down solution approach for problems. Training included working on scope and requirement gathering, designing dashboards, and then learning aspects of the salesforce. Salesforce is the next step in the action side of analytics especially for CRM and with its knowledge, I believe one completes the umbrella of the working side of data science and analytics.
My typical day includes a briefing from the COO and CEO of the firm about the on-going project, gathering requirements, implement solutions, assign tasks and then drill down the solution to stitch a perfect answer for problems.
I believe I was very fortunate in getting this internship with the help of Professor Gaurav Shekhar and I am very grateful to Mr.Venkat and Mr. Karthik Viswa for their belief in me and my abilities. Apart from that my mentor and friend Mr. Amar and Mr. Kala have been there whenever I felt getting struck on any problem at Fusion.
I envision a huge growth and expansion for Fusion in the coming years. And hiring more interns from our beloved UT Dallas. Signing off my last internship for this program. Woosh!
