My Internship at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

I’m excited to discuss my summer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Global Finance and Business Management Summer Analyst. This experience tremendously improved my knowledge of Asset Management and the importance of Financial Planning and Analysis within the banking industry. During my time within the Asset and Wealth Management line of business, specifically on the asset management revenue team, I was able to work on an immersive project and genuinely learn about the day to day financial activities of the team. This contributed to a large growth in professional skills, such as Microsoft Excel, and knowledge in tools such as Alteryx, but also personal growth in a completely new environment.?

A highlight of my time in the Asset Management Revenue team was working on a project that allowed me to produce a Microsoft Excel model that mapped and highlighted the differences in monthly values between varying teams. This experience taught me the importance of going step by step especially when working with unfamiliar variables, strengthened my analytical abilities, and improved my communication skills. Beyond this, my time at JPMC taught me the importance of teamwork, taking initiative, and the value of communication especially in unfamiliar environments. All the skills and lessons I know will take me far in any future professional or educational setting.??

As I graduate in the upcoming week, I am grateful for the opportunity to be a summer analyst at JP Morgan Chase & Co. and want to take a moment to thank everyone I had the pleasure of working with, especially the mentorship I had within the Revenue team and the Global Finance and Business Program.
