My Internship Journey with IFORTIS CORPORATE, INDIA

Hello everyone!

I would like to share my experience of working as a Marketing & Sales intern at IFortis Corporate

IFortis corporate is meticulously working on their values, code of business conduct and sustainable development goals in order to allure the best workforce and design culture of innovation and enabling them to attain full capability resulting in better performance and high growth.

 Team Leader: Priyanshi Darbari- During the initial days of my internship, I came across a person, my industry guide who showered immense official support and resolved all concerned queries at every possible step. She has been an inspiration throughout the program. Her managing skills and leadership traits left a remarkable impact on me. 

 STEP AHEAD, India’s First & Largest Virtual School Fiesta, initiated by IFortis Corporate was my very first statement of purpose (SOP-1) assigned to me. This project was peculiarly for school students in order to allure a good number of optimistic and buoyant youngsters. It is an event fostering skills, aptitude and abilities possessed by the students.

This Project stimulates students to participate in different contests to showcase their talent worldwide. Storytelling, slam poetry, singing competition, dance competition, art competition, photography contest, speech competition, fortnight, young scientist competition, fancy dress, and talent show are some engrossing and fascinating opportunities for undergraduates. 

As a sales and marketing intern, I am fortunate enough to let the youth know about this great event coming up in June. I was keen to share the word with all my friends, relatives and acquaintances. For the promotion of the event, I undertook several methods to publicise the contest among the masses.

1.    Firstly I penned down certain important information regarding the event and circulated it among people from my university, school and family via what’s app, e-mails, social media websites, applications and telephonically.

2.    Secondly as per my knowledge, pictorial representation ensures a good outcome. I created an enticing poster embracing all the required details about the event. Students find posters and pictures more fascinating than words. The online poster was shared via digital platforms such as What’s app, Instagram and Facebook.

3.    Thirdly after advertising through various medium, my centre of attention was on the students whom I knew were interested in dancing, singing, photography and art. This event would turn out to be a positive and advantageous opportunity for individuals who wish to build their career in these fields.

4.    My communication skills and convincing power-assisted me in achieving the first project assigned by the company.

5.    As the ticket price costs Rs99/- which initially priced at Rs300/- is another marketing strategy I applied while publicising the event.

Challenges faced during the completion of the first project –

As we all know, we are in the middle of universal pathogenic which has become an impediment to smooth and speedier communication.

Pandemic has become a major reason for non-participation by the majority of the students. Due to dreadful condition, people showcase minimal interest in opportunities and incentives coming their way.

Target of selling three tickets was altogether not a big task but in the course of an inescapable virus and unpredictable incidents, it was arduous to attract the younger population and persuade them.

Experience with new customers –

Communicating with new prospects and gelling up with individuals is itself a fascinating job. Interaction with new people enhances communicational skills and foster an optimistic attitude.

There are some drawbacks as well along with the advantageous perspective. Promotional activities seem to be easily doable, requiring fewer efforts but when it comes to actually performing the task of advertising, a good amount of effort and time is expected. It is comparatively strenuous to reach out to a huge number of people via digital applications and websites.

IFortis Corporate has helped me in acquiring additional skills under sales and marketing and assisted me in exploring more about marketing and enhanced my existing expertise. I am contended on the successful completion of my first project.
