My Internship Experience:

As I wrap up my internship at the University of Texas System, I reflect on an incredible journey filled with learning, growth, and impactful projects. Over the past 10 weeks as an IT Special Projects Intern, I developed models to identify trends and automate business operations, which directly addressed operational challenges and enhanced project management efficiency. This experience allowed me to improve my skills in data analysis, visualization, and predictive modelling, using tools like Power BI and Excel which enhanced the liquidity of data-driven decision-making in a more accessible way within the organization. #utd

Working closely with mentors like William Huang , Greg Gomel, and Yashambari Ajinkya I gained invaluable insights into complex data analytics, business operations, business decisions and other system automation tasks. Their guidance was instrumental in my development, and I am grateful for their support and understanding.

I also had the privilege of connecting with a diverse group of skilled professionals who played a significant role in my journey. Managers like Margaret "Maggie" Watkins, PMP , Aamir Abbas, and Jack Pitney , Todd Milligan and others inspired me to see the bigger picture and work to my full potential. Additionally, the PDP sessions helped me forge meaningful connections with peers like Arian Riyahivafa, PMP? CSM? , Anna McGilvray , Siddhi Javalkar , Samantha M. , Soumee Roy, PMP? Muskan Bajaj ?and other amazing colleagues, so a special shout out to our HR team Susan Masson Josh Seils Abby Pollard Stephanie Gil, PHR, SHRM-CP ?who made this possible by amazing PDP sessions

I'm incredibly thankful to Gaurav Shekhar for guiding me to opt for this internship, and to all the professors of The University of Texas at Dallas who prepared me, in terms of the skills and knowledge required in this duration of 10 weeks.

The opportunities to engage in continuous learning and development strengthened my adaptability, responsibility, and teamwork. This internship has not only enhanced my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of the real-world impact of data-driven decisions. I’m excited to apply these insights and skills in my ongoing journey in Business Analytics and AI.
