My Internship Experience at CommScope

CommScope is a global leader in infrastructure solutions, enabling seamless connectivity across various industries worldwide. I was thrilled to join CommScope at the beginning of the summer and witness firsthand how their products power critical infrastructures like AT&T Stadium and airports globally.

During my internship, I primarily focused on a project aimed at enhancing customer feedback analysis. Our main task was to identify the most suitable survey platform for gathering customer insights and subsequently build dashboards to visualize this data in a business-friendly manner. The project also required us to automate the data analysis process and streamline repetitive tasks to ensure the dashboards were updated weekly with minimal human intervention.

?One of the significant challenges I faced was transitioning from Tableau to Power BI, a tool I had limited experience with. Initially, I felt overwhelmed, but I quickly adapted by leveraging YouTube tutorials and online resources. This learning process enabled me to master complex formulas and create the desired visuals for our dashboards. Additionally, I delved into Power Query and Power Automate, learning to automate routine tasks and enhance the dashboard’s efficiency.

?Daily check-in meetings with our manager were instrumental in guiding our progress. These meetings allowed us to address challenges promptly and stay focused on our objectives. Through collaboration and persistence, my team and I developed a robust system for effectively visualizing customer data.

?The internship was a remarkable journey of growth and learning. I gained valuable technical skills and made meaningful connections with colleagues. These experiences have equipped me with insights and knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit my future endeavors. Moreover, the supportive environment at CommScope helped me build confidence in my abilities and fostered a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
