My Intentions & My Submissions from 2022
Intention 1: On 1st Jan 2022, I posted an article about E+R=O which talks about how any Event’s Outcome is directly proportionate to our Response, which is R. When you respond instead of reacting, the outcome is enormously different and better.
My Submission: Though this is such an effective tool to steer your outcomes in the right direction, I’m afraid I’m unable to use it effectively. This tool requires mindfulness and I’m yet to get there.
Intention 2: On 10th January 2022, I posted my thoughts on - No Multi-tasking. This is so important to live in the moment. The idea was to enjoy whatever work, conversation, etc I do during the year.
My Submission: I failed on this for most of the year. But in the last few months, I got more aware of it & started taking stronger decisions to work on my mind. I was not even aware that I do multi-tasking almost all the time. I found that my mind is not programmed to be in the present moment. I have started working on this with a help of my mentor.
Intention 3: On 4th February 2022, I wrote how Decluttering, Downsizing & Minimalism helps in Wealth Creation & to Live life beautifully.
My Submission: To a large extent, I’m able to follow this. It immensely helped me in remaining grounded, creating wealth, dressing not to impress & thinking clearly. But I also realized that the world is designed to de-stabilize our harmony. Our entire economy is designed to increase consumption and clutter us more. And awareness is the key to break this vicious cycle.
Intention 4: On 14th February 2022, I posted a thought-provoking video on Mother Earth. And what metaphor it has on us – Humans. Earth is a very small stage in the vast cosmic arena. When we realize how irrelevant we are in this whole cosmic atmosphere, we will start thinking of our purpose in this world.
This makes me feel so vulnerable & the entire feeling of ‘ownership’ immediately becomes irrelevant. It made me realize that trying to be powerful is a symptom of powerlessness.
Intention 5: I attended a Past Life Regression & Spiritual Science residential workshop under Dr. Newton Kondaveti in Vikarabad.
My Submission: My biggest Takeaway is ECW ~ Energy, Consciousness & Wisdom. A person’s worth can be evaluated by knowing how much he is Energetic, Conscious of his being and his surroundings & his wisdom. Now, when I related ECW in my own life, I realized that I have a long way to go. But this is a powerful tool to become a better version of myself.
Intention 6: On 1st April 2022, I posted about spending a maximum of Rs. 50,000 on myself in the year from 01.01.2022 to 31.12.2022. My minimalism journey has been a part of my lifestyle for the last 3-4 years & it’s an ambitious challenge.
My Submission: The thought itself has helped me to ask if I really need something or it’s just impulsiveness. It has also helped me to say no to gifts which I didn’t need or won’t use. I imagine my carbon footprint has reduced only by being mindful of not buying things which I won’t need. So far, I have spent Rs. 48342. I’m sure I may have missed some expenses. You can find my spends in the link below: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tq05i4R_AKmvLwujYhUr1ebR_e4jAGrhdDkc1Zxz03o/edit?usp=sharing
Intention 7: Mindful Gifting. On 03rd May 2022, I posted an article on Mindful Gifting. I posted in a community that I was looking for a used Guitar. And that’s when a friend called & gifted me his used guitar.

My Submission: The feeling of getting a used Guitar as a gift was over whelming. And today when I look back, I could not make much use of that guitar. It is still at the Meraqee Terrace with very less use. What if I had bought it? The amount of carbon footprint & money I would have spent not using the product.
Intention 8: On 5th July 2022, I left Business Network of India (BNI) after being a member for 10 years. BNI is s community where you can refer business & help members in growing each other’s businesses.
My Submission: BNI is one of the most crucial communities to develop business. The fear of losing out was there but I was exploring the space beyond fear. It’s been over 5 months & I feel that I took the right decision on a larger scale of life. There is no regret.
Intention 9: On 29th July 2022, I posted an article on what if we are a tourist to this Earth? It changes the narrative of living life.
My Submission: When it comes to a holiday, we tend to be selective & plan it to be best of our abilities. Our budget, stay & people we would like to go with, everything is well planned. Then why don’t we do plan our life & why do we get lost in day to day living? For me this tool is a great speed breaker - a moment to pause & introspect - in my journey called life.
?Intention 10: Is it possible to move to a non-smart keypad cell phone?
My Submission: It is daunting task. Looks very difficult at the moment & for the next few years. I have started keeping my phone & data off during important conversations. But I still fail to manage it well when I am stressed & when I don’t realize I’m multi-tasking. It has got many advantages but on the scale of life, it’s a major distraction.?
Intention 11: Personal Challenges for 2 months starting 1st Nov 2022. I put 4 milestone for 2 month (1) Run 21km by the end of 2 months (2) Weigh 75 Kgs on 1st Jan 2023 (3) Start the Journey of Meditation (4) radiate Calmness
My Submission: I have realised that I am not mindful, nor have I got a say in my thoughts. Thoughts without mindfulness is like having a monkey mind. Multi-tasking has become a compulsion. But this realization has helped me defer some impulsive decisions & actions. I am off sugar since 1st Nov baring 3 instances where I had beer & 2 instances where I had sugar stuff. I love Indian masala chai but I didn’t have it even once. I meant this to be a 7-week experiment which ended on 23rd Dec’22 and have learnt much about my body in the process.
I have not meditated but had a good discussion with my mentor on this journey, which gives me hope. I weigh around 78 kgs as of now.
All in all, the year has taught me a lot about how my own mind could be my biggest strength and an equally daunting barrier. We may intend to progress on various aspects of our life, but it must cross the hurdle of our monkey mind before moving forward an inch. To tame it is the highest intention of all. In 2023 I plan to take some positive steps in this direction.?Like always, I look to you all for your thoughts, suggestions and ideas. However much we may like, we are all interconnected beings and we influence each others' lives in many small and big ways. And I hope to broaden my relationship with you in the process of sharingideas here.
