Last night I cried, and its ok to be sad for your friends in an Industry that has supported our business, - these partners are losing their team to this crisis.

They are a resilient bunch and take it on the chin and drive forward supporting their customers and are there offering advice at critical times. Offering their hand to get their customers employees home safe, regardless of the turmoil they themselves are under.

The community doesn’t stop - they never do, they are there 24/7.

From our Travel Management Companies who provide the human element to our technology platform to our Airline & Hotel suppliers whose teams have smiled and welcomed you to their service, to the travel consultant who has gone that extra mile to help your staff when they just needed a friendly voice to get them home safe.

These people have supported the globalisation of your company, they have taken you to a new destination or made sure you got to the meeting to close the deal.

Our partners have had to cope with this change, whether it is industry changes, 911 or the GFC, they have focused and rebounded back to service you. So, its ok to be a little sad; but maybe offer them a little support as they might just appreciate it.

And the next time you do a travel RFP - think about the service they offer.

Maybe don’t drive that service fee to zero… No one wins when you devalue the service you rely on in a crisis.
