“THIS IS MY INDIA & I HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF IT.”

As per the statistics, about half the people in India are struggling to have food even for once in a day. About 42% of the underweight children in the world are in India. The numbers of hungry people have been increasing with time in India in the recent years. The person who has no food will be weak and some health problems. He looks tired having no concentration on anything. This finally led to a starvation death. When I think of a starvation death in 21st century, I shiver from the bottom.

We live in a country where giving alms and feeding the poor is part of its religious culture, I feel, feeding a hungry person should not be a difficult task. The Sikhs have lungers, the Muslims are asked to feed the poor and zakat is one of the main pillars of Islam to feed the hungry and Hindus have all kinds of excuses to feed the poors. With growing prosperity many of us find it unbelievable that people still die of hunger.

The union & state governments are doing their level best to drive away the problem of hunger from the country by implementing various schemes from time to time. But the broad sign is still there that we have hungry people in our country.

Now the big question is what can we personally do for our country? To advice the governments, we have plenty of advisors in our country.

Have we ever volunteered?

Have we ever tried to feed a hungry?

TRY YOURSELF. THIS MAY COST YOU SOME RUPEES. BUT THE GRATITUDE WILL GIVE YOU SATISFACTION FROM THE CORE.
