My Haile Micro Internship for Fall 2021
Aro Rajaonah
Predoctoral Research Specialist at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs
This first semester of my junior year is the semester I am the most proud of so far. The mistakes and challenges of my first two years shaped the way I approached everything that came to me. I promised myself to embrace as many opportunities as I could.
My advisor Olena Pilyayeva introduced me to the Haile Micro Internship at the perfect time. I was looking for a project outside of my classes that would benefit me in a practical way. Dr. Dynan and Luke Bensley helped me to develop my skills though the revision of papers for Nysa, the academic journal at NKU. Interested in research, I thought this internship would give me more insight about the publishing process. And it did ! At the end of this experience, I know more about what is in the mind of a revising board when they go through publications.
I strongly recommend the Haile Micro Internship to any other student at the Haile College of Business. I learned to deliver quality work and to hold myself accountable for meeting deadlines. I am even more excited to pursue this internship for Spring 2022 ! All my gratitude goes to my advisor Olena Pilyayeva, my professor Dr. Linda Dynan and my peer Luke Bensley.
