My Goals for Degrowth ??

This year, my goals are centered around the idea of?degrowth.

Degrowth acknowledges that there are limits to growth and revives the value of being in right relationship with one another. It doesn’t mean growth is necessarily bad, but it does remove the need for growth-at-all-costs and growth for the sake of growth in this economy.

Some questions I am asking myself:

How much do I really need to live well? What is it that I actually need to survive and thrive??

Can I get what I need by asking within my community??

Do I have anything in abundance to share or offer to others?

Degrowth can look like: partaking in the spirit of Ask/Give in this community, contributing to a?community fridge, or simply spending more leisure time in nature doing things you enjoy with good company.

At Coralus, we are also considering what it means to provide a community experience that is simple, and different as always (more below!)

Implementing degrowth at a full scale will take a mass global cultural effort. Partaking in some of these practices in local contexts can be the shift that starts to usher in an alternative future that is more sustainable, equitable, and regenerative for all.

What's ahead for 2023...

We will continue to focus on discovering incredible women and non-binary-led Ventures working on the important issues of our time and supporting their transformative pursuits.

We are launching a once a month Rethinking series where we'll explore compelling examples of people in our community who are transforming everything from the pursuit of net-zero to rethinking organizations.

Now that we can gather in-person again, we will be supporting local events in every region where we have clusters of community members. This is already happening in many parts of the world. If you want a list of who's in your area, please?'reply'?and let us know.

And finally, for those who want to work and learn with others, we will continue?to support DIY collectives online — small groups, collectives, Ask/Give circles, and more. We encourage you to find the others and self-organize. This is your invitation to make what you want of this community.
