My Goals for 2022 - Update #7 (July)

This is my July update of my goals this year! I apologize for the late post since I was on vacation!

This year, I wanted to have different types of goals with personal development, professional development, content creation, and life goals.

1) Personal Development Goals

For my personal development goals, I want to challenge myself to do new things and continue to grow!

a)?(ON TRACK: 6,105?minutes)?Exercise for 12,000 minutes on Peloton

I'm finally back on track with my Peloton workouts!

I worked out using the Peloton app for 1,585 minutes in June across 35+ classes! I have been cycling a lot more and walking our dog for 30 minutes every day as well. In addition, I did A LOT of walking in New York City and Washington DC when I was on vacation.

b)?(ON TRACK: 8 out of 12)?Do 12 new things for the first time

I did 2 new things this month!

First, I used a circular saw for the first time to cut down a bed frame in order to move it up the stairs for our guest bedroom.

Second, I took an Amtrak train for the first time from New York to Washington DC. It was a 3.5 hour train ride. I highly recommend it over flying!

Previous new things: 4-week Peloton core program, first Warriors game at Chase Center, going through the home buying process, closing on our new house, painted the inside of the house, and building a variety of furniture for the new house!

2) Professional Development Goals

I started my new position at Applied Materials in September 2021 and I've been taking on more and more responsibilities each month. I'm continuing to grow and achieve more at work!

I am taking the PMP exam this month! Wish me luck on July 13th!

3) Content Creation Goals

Now that my fiancé and I have fully moved into our new house, we're shifting our focusing to...

We're getting married in September 2022!

We sent out the wedding invites and getting RSVPs. I was able to buy my tux and our wedding bands! The remaining things to do include a final food and cake tasting, seating charts, and buying gifts for my bride and groomsmen!

c)?(ON TRACK: 4 out of 6)?Take 6 trips this year

At the end of the month, I tagged along my fiancé's work trip to New York City and we added on Washington DC to the tail end since she's never been there before. I was able to meet my LinkedIn friends in person!
