Happy end of 2022 to you! I hope you had a wonderful year!
This is my final update of my goals in 2022!
I was able to achieve a lot of my goals, while there are others I want to try to achieve for next year!
1) Personal Development Goals
For my personal development goals, I want to challenge myself to do new things and continue to grow!
a)?(ON TRACK:?11,500 minutes)?Exercise for 12,000 minutes on Peloton
I worked out using the Peloton app for?I worked out for I worked for 550 minutes in December across 36 classes!
I wasn't able to quite achieve my goal of 12,000 minutes on Peloton this year. However, I feel and look stronger than from the beginning of the year.
I'm using this "missed" goal as motivation to try again harder next year!
You can follow me on Peloton: @stephenlu
b)?(COMPLETE: 13 out of 12)?Do 12 new things for the first time
I did a lot of new things this year! By doing new things, you get out of your comfort zone and build confidence to do other new things!
I'm looking forward to continuing this goal for next year and growing even more!
Previous new things: 4-week Peloton core program, first Warriors game at Chase Center, going through the home buying process, closing on our new house, painted the inside of the house, building a variety of furniture for the new house, used a circular saw, took an Amtrak train, gambled in Vegas, submitted marriage license application, went ziplining and took a sunset boat cruise on my honeymoon, put our dog down, learning how to prep and cool meals!
c)?(BEHIND: 7 out of 12)?12 solo speaking opportunities
This is one goal where I hoped to achieve but wasn't quite able to.
I am looking to expanding this goal in 2023 to have paid speaking opportunities! If you know of any organization that would benefit from presentations about LinkedIn, content creation, or building confidence, let me know!
1) To the Eli Lilly Engineering group about my career journey to high school students.
2) Mint Ambition Summit hosted by Liz St. Jean about?how to find opportunities on LinkedIn !
3) In-person speaking event at SJSU's Classes Without Quizzes about LinkedIn and how to use it to get opportunities

Perhaps I should learn a new language in 2023?
2) Professional Development Goals
I reached my 1-year mark in September at Applied Materials. I've become the Smartsheet and Excel guru!
a)?(COMPLETED)?Get PMP Certified
I passed the PMP exam on July 13th! It was tougher than I anticipated, but all that matters is I passed!

I recall the 7 habits of highly effective people, first personal then public victories, and fitting in little with the big things in life, the pebbles between marbles. Happy new year ??
