My FY22-23 Annual Report
Well, it looks like our little venture Do My Content (DMC) has completed yet another financial year. Woohoo!
To put FY22-23 in a nutshell – we’re just happy to have survived as a small fish in a big pond. We may not have the whole ocean to ourselves, but hey, we're still swimming, right?
Despite being in a constant state of chaos and caffeine dependency, DMC managed to achieve some pretty cool things. Here are some of the highlights of our year.
Our website finally went live. Yay!
I took it on me to build DMC's website after keeping it on the back-burner for long. I'm no designer or developer, but I figured how hard could it be? Famous last words. But after weeks of trial and error (mostly error), we finally launched our shiny new website. And it only took a few mild panic attacks. Phew!
Win some. Learn some.
One of our key wins this year has been our learning journey. For starters, we added new Ai tools to our arsenal, which sometimes make us feel a bit like Black Mirror characters. Initially, working with Ai was like trying to get a goldfish to play chess. But we persevered, and now we're getting pretty good at it. And still learning every day.
Better Faster Smarter
In just this last quarter, we’ve learned to work faster and smarter, thanks to the Ai tools we use. But if you’re thinking, oh cool, so I won’t have to pay you as much anymore… wrong! Ai is still a tool as much as MS-Word is (ok better, but still a tool). It has definitely has made some of our tedious, pre-work tasks like research and outlining easier.
But Ai hasn’t replaced strategic thinking just yet. The latter is what I charge for. We continue to explore the possibilities of constantly evolving tech and its impact on our business.

Celebrating Diversity (not what you think)
We enjoyed working with some very diverse clients. From Audio-Technica India a Japanese behemoth in professional & consumer audio to Wakao Foods - a start-up revolutionising vegan meat to Yotta Data Services Private Limited - a rapidly growing datacenter business, part of the Hiranandani Group.
Without boring you with the details, let’s just say our projects spanned across industries and verticals in BFSI, FMCG, F&B, IT & Tech, Real Estate and Retail.
I’m happy to report that in FY 22-23, we worked on projects across geographies. Our project footprint now covers clients in Canada, UAE, EU & the US. Not bad for a small Goa-based business like ours, eh?

One of the best things in our line of work is the variety of things we get to do. This year, we did everything from personal branding, packaging design, creating and coding websites to running digital marketing & social media pages, to creating a bunch of videos from scratch.
I even wrote rap lyrics for a farewell video. Never thought I'd be writing rap lyrics as a copywriter but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.
We comfortably pay our bills
Financial stability is always a win, especially for a small business. We may not be rolling in money, but we make a decent living doing what we love.
Speaking of numbers, we’ve grown our top-line revenues by 34% over the last year, and our PAT by 39%. Good numbers for any annual report, I’d reckon.
It’s not been easy, but it's been worth it. As I look back on the year, I'm happy for all that we've accomplished. In FY23-24, I hope we can do more of what we’ve not attempted before.
