?Hand painting an artwork for printed textile is a creative art and is generally called textile design. Visualizing and painting a textile design is an art of brushing out the rhythmic combination of color and concept.

The brush strokes, striplings and shadings are the essence of achieving depth and dimension of all elements in the artwork. Practicing to hand paint various brush strokes accumulates knowledge of sketching the design. The brainwork of imagining a textile design prior to creation is an inherent talent of artists and is the basic of originating a novel design. The imagination could be unlimited and undefined but deriving the same on an art sheet is the dexterity of the textile designer.

?Monetizing the textile design depends on the uniqueness and credibility of design concept that is practical and productive to embed on textile fabrics. ?

?What is a good textile design? As a textile artist my answer is - the design sold is a good design.

A textile merchant will say in joy - a printed textile sold in million meters is a good design.

This means a textile design printed on textile must impress and instigate large number of customers to acquire.

Undefinable though, there are several reasons for the excellence of a textile design and one among them is the color combination.

?Choice of colors is subjective from the point of view of every customer. But a textile artwork need to be astounding to majority of perceivers and obviously the prominent factor is the proportionate placement of appropriate colors in the artwork. Practically the proportions cannot be calculated whereas practicing the color painting consistently gives the knowledge of appropriating colors. More the experience better the outcome.

Textile design cannot be taught in sophisticated words and it is a practicing art.

Where and how to begin is a huge question. Inspired by various textile designs, artworks, paintings, a creative artist spontaneously sketches out a structure to paint colors and sums up.

Observation and innovative imagination is the fundamental of originating a unique the textile design. So free and allow your fingers to outline a sketch of flowers or any elements in your mind and color them up to a definite shape and structure. May be it looks weird or unsatisfying, try to justify by replacing, changing, mixing colors. Not happy then just ignore it and start again on new page. Practicing consistently – is the Soul and I learnt myself from illegible. ?

?My creativity plunges on observing and getting inspired from various art forms, natural flowers, plants etc. and end up in originating a unique art every time. Mindfully, I create the designs to suit the purpose of the printed fabric and art form varies accordingly.

My experience in manual paintings is my capability to create all my artworks directly in computer and Adobe Photoshop is a perfect platform to make it possible.
