Hi LinkedIn family, guess who is back? One downfall about staying alone is, there's NO company. Most of the time you live in your head, so I decided to share my encounter. Thank you to everyone who reshared my post last week, much appreciated.
A few years ago, I had a few friends, and that hasn't changed much now. I started documenting my journey & sharing my varsity experiences on LinkedIn. LinkedIn became my personal journal, and before long, it turned into a public journal. I was comfortable with other people reading about my experiences because I knew someone out there needed a supportive voice.
I received another message this morning (sighs). My plan was to go to the police after lunch, but anxiety kicked in, and I knew I had to FACE it immediately. I took a loooong breath & prepared myself to go to the police station. As I walking there, thoughts raced through my mind: How did I end up here? Maybe I should deactivate my LinkedIn account and just live my life. How can people be so cruel? I got there and met a very welcoming lady. I explained my story & presented my evidence. After a lengthy explanation, she said, "I can't help you open a case without a PDF from Telegram stating that you are being impersonated."

What was I expecting? My heart sank. What do I do now? I explained to her that Telegram wasn't responding to my messages. After that, I couldn't focus on anything else she was saying. She repeated, "You need to get a PDF from Telegram showing that someone is impersonating you; otherwise, we can't open a case."
As I walked home, that thought struck me once more—perhaps you should deactivate your account & simply live your life. But keh— there's many people who have been affected by this. I need to show up! Three years of dedication and one incident knocks me down. Yeah, it's been a tough one. I wish people could be more kinder. Your messages will send me to the grave EARLY, please be kind. I will call Telegram this week and ask for the PDF document.
