I know how hard this is. Please remember that you are great, and when things get tough, reach out – I'm here to lend you support.
Here are some insights from my own journey this year that might help:
- Recognize your worth amidst the tough job market conditions. Don't hesitate to lean on your network for reminders when you need them.
- Utilize all your resources. Outplacement services can provide valuable guidance and support during this time.
- Take time to reflect on your next steps. Whether it's a week, a month, or a quarter, consider what you truly want to do next. In this market, applying to anything and everything is unlikely to result in a role. Recruiters receive hundreds of applications daily. It's better to find someone within the company who can be your eyes and ears for roles that haven't been posted yet.
- Try to establish a connection within the company. Having someone to pass your resume to the hiring manager can be beneficial, even though you'll probably get ghosted a lot.
- Apply for unemployment benefits right away. Resolving issues with the state takes time, so it's best to get this process started as soon as possible.
- Networking is key. While I hope your job search is shorter, understand that it may take 6-9 months on average for many to secure their next opportunity. Remember, this timeline doesn't define your value.
- Let me know how I can support you. Whether it's making introductions, offering a listening ear, or sharing my own experience, I'm here to make this process a bit more manageable for you.
I'll be sharing more tips and links to resources that I hope you'll find helpful here: Resources For Job Seekers — Miss Teams 365. I'm cheering for you and wishing you the very best.

7 个月The ups and downs of the interview process can be an emotional rollercoaster of anticipation, hope and then let down over and over. On one regard as an experienced salesman, push through, coffee is for closers right? But as a seasoned professional who was always handed inner promotions by performance, helping leaders exceed their goals, and helping pilot departments start up during uncertain times, it can be a shocker that not everyone is madly in love with you when you interview at a new company. I myself found I was not used to being asked thorny questions of intense probing of self worth. Interviewing is a great skill set to always keep sharp and well developed. I only ask leaders to remember you are representing your culture when interviewing and have some empathy and emotional intelligence for the non entry level candidates who can help push the company into the new AI evolution. P.S. LinkedIn Premium offers a surplus of interview practice that I suggest we all swallow our pride and invest in. I have as of this month.
