My Forbes 30 under 30 Europe Experience

Sharing with all of you a recent experience that I had attending the Forbes under 30 Europe Summit! So how did this happen? I received an email from the Forbes 30 under 30 Founder that I was invited to attend the European Summit as I’ve been nominated for the list in the US. If you know me, I was ecstatic!

What I learned:

Network with like-minded people is great

I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people that are in different areas of expertise but they all have something in common which is that entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to do something bigger than themselves. I don’t think that the majority had it all figured out, but they are hustling to find ways for their products or services. I got to meet a few folks in the education field and it is super refreshing to know that we all want the best for the next and current generation and we tend to question the old system that has been implemented for centuries. Looking forward to collaborating with some of them.

The Forbes experience is something we should all explore

I had no expectations as I’ve never been to a Forbes conference, but I loved the environment and the pace of the talks. I was exposed to so many entrepreneurs and so many points of views that it was amazing. For example, we got to hear from the creator of ‘Essento’ (protein via insects) to the founder of ‘Formula E’ (similar to F1 but for electric cars). If you can go to a Forbes Summit, take the chance!

Be humble

Every single person that I met is making a difference in many ways, at their companies that they started or corporations where they work. For me, to be able to share the Nuevo Foundation story and mission with them and validating that we are onto something great, was an awesome feeling.

Clarification, I did not make the 30 under 30 list but I am immensely grateful to all of you that nominated me for the education category and appreciate the work that we do with Nuevo Foundation. Thank you again for taking the time to nominate me!
