My Fluffy Rug Workout

Have you eaten LOADS of chocolate?
Been wedged into the sofa for much of Easter?
Honestly I am not a massive chocolate fan.
However even as a self confessed 'fidget bum' I do enjoy an evening on the sofa watching a good movie.
Being a specialist, and geek, when it comes to human movement I am always considering ways to move more in general so I can pass ideas to my clients and learners for their clients.
Oh and because I sit at a desk a lot and drive 40k miles a year running an education company!
So I don't only have the usual 'ornaments' in my front room. Nope I also have a collection of foam rollers, lacrosse balls, yoga mats and a big fluffy rug.
No Sweat Workouts!
What this means is that when I settle down for a movie I take breaks from sitting by basically rolling around on my fluffy rug.
BUT
This 'no sweat' workout means I do not get stiff or achey for those couple of hours I am watching a movie.

Here are just a few of my fluffy rug iMoveFreely? techniques;
4 sign (Pelvic anti spasm)
Pelvic Tilts (Lumbar mobility)
Pec Minor (Shoulder anti spasm)
Lie longways on the foam roller (Thoracic mobility)
However you will be pleased to hear that you don't actually need a fluffy rug to perform these exercises. They are just as effective done on a carpet or mat ;)

Now there are no excuses for not doing some exercise while at the cinema too!
Yes I was watching the lovely Vin Diesel in a movie while with my nephew on Saturday and performed this little routine twice while in those mahoosive comfy lie back seats at Showcase Nottingham;

No Excuses!
So there is really no excuse Juicefans!!
