My FIVE, Your FIVE
Motivation for the weekend (and the week that follows)

My FIVE, Your FIVE

Not entirely work-related, but it is Friday afterall.

Can there be power in numbers? Or numbers in power? Wherever you find motivation – I hope that there is power therein.

While seeking clarity on how to motivate myself through the cold weather, the discomfort of layered clothes, the low energy of those who realise we are officially in the least festive and coldest part of the year and facing the jiggle ive obtained from pure laziness I discovered the number 5.

This post, albeit simple, is just to show that self-motivation is right in front of you (literally – I Googled it!)

FIVE:

James Altucher’s article on “The Power of Five” shares 5 realisations, which are:

1.      You are the average of the five people around you.

2.      You are the average of the five things that inspire you the most.

3.      My thoughts are the average of the five things I think about.

4.      My body and mind are the average of the five things I “eat”.

5.      I am the average of the five things I do to help people each day.

Read the article here: https://jamesaltucher.com/2013/12/the-5x5-trick-to-make-life-better/

On Mystical Numbers I found some “beliefs” about the number 5 (whether factual or not, still very interesting):

-         Five is the number of balance

-         Five symbolizes man, health and love.

-         There are 5 senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch.

-         Reversed, the number 5 indicates vulnerability.

-         “High Five” is a social gesture of celebrating.

-         There are five vowels in the English alphabet.

-         There are five arms on a regular starfish.

-         An earthworm has 5 hearts.

-         The Five Olympic Rings symbolize the five continents.

Although the above may be useless to you today, never know when you will need that information for an office quiz or crossword puzzle.

How about the FIVE YEAR MASTER PLAN? (why five?)

How about the 5 by 5 rule?

Whether it’s a number, a meme, an image, a feeling, a memory, a song or a special place – find your motivation and roll with it (or Google it as I did).

HAPPY WEEKEND!
