It all started five months ago, on a day when most people were gazing at a celestial eclipse. April 8th, 2024. I, on the other hand, was grappling with the abrupt loss of my job as a senior web developer. The dismissal came out of nowhere, leaving me to face the stark reality of unemployment.

Step 1: Embracing the Emotional Whirlwind

The immediate aftermath was a cocktail of shock, frustration, and a sprinkle of "what now?" But instead of bottling it up, I chose to acknowledge these feelings. I had tough conversations with my family, including my three daughters—aged 15, 12, and 6.
