My First Review
I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but I have never left a review. I've never left a good review. I've never left a bad review. I simply felt like it didn't matter. But things have changed.
I am learning that all reviews are not fake. (Am I the only one that was skeptical about reviews being paid for or "friends/family"?) Actual human beings who consume products or services from a particular company can and do leave actual reviews.
I just returned from a week of vacationing with my husband. We intentionally did not plan out every moment of every day and thus, had to make decisions about some meals somewhat on a whim. My PI (Predictive Index) would tell you I make decisions based on information, so what information do you think I used when neither my husband nor I had been to any of these locations before? You guessed it, REVIEWS!
After two excellent experiences (one at Under Canvas Zion and one at Mr. Mama's), it was time to submit my first reviews. It takes a lot to impress me. I think there are a lot of good experiences, but rarely do I feel "wowed". These two places "WOWED" me, and thus they're the recipients of my first reviews.
I realized after reflecting on my reading of reviews for our breakfast restaurant that it is ever more crucial as a bank or credit union, to manage and foster reviews. It can be hard to wow customers. I truly believe bankers are fantastic, but money makes people emotional and guarded, making it harder for bankers to leave that lasting and positive impression. So when we do, we need to capitalize on it. Take that win and encourage the translation of that positive experience to a positive review.
