My first office, my sweet spot
Today, I returned to my office in Romania to visit my former colleagues. The office was quieter than usual because it was a weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to catch up with everyone on the floor. It was a busy, short visit, and I felt sad that I couldn't talk to everyone properly because I had to run from one meeting to another. I will be happy to help you.
I know this isn't the last time we'll catch up, and the memories we've made will always be with me. They've left a lasting impression, like a lingering aftertaste from a great collaboration.
One of the most emotional moments in this fast reconnection with the roots from there for me was seeing my small office. I loved that place, not because it was the most beautiful, but because I made it my own. When I first entered, it didn't feel right - there was no natural light, no windows, and the prints on the wall didn't speak to me. I decided to hold off on making aesthetic changes and see what would happen. With time, the space became my own. I repainted the walls with the help of a colleague from facilities, simplified the furniture, and added personal touches like paintings, artistic elements, a blanket, a pillow, and three chairs. It was the perfect place for me when I needed silence, but it was also the door where people stopped by to chat and share stories.

It felt nice to see my old place today and know it was the last time I'd see it before moving on. Having that physical space to grow in was so meaningful to me. Now, it's just a tiny office I'll take to Egypt. It will help me stay grounded whenever I feel overwhelmed by change and need stability.
With love from Bucharest,
