My first month since joining Kaseya

My first month since joining Kaseya

My first 30 days at Kaseya were definitely about learning, understanding the business, team, culture, our customers and new processes.

If you had told me a year ago that I would move by myself to Bangalore, I would have told you that you are crazy. But here I am, one month into my life in the busy IT world of Bangalore, and I could not be happier.

On the 24th December, I started working in Product Marketing at Kaseya based out of Bangalore. Specifically, I am working on Kaseya’s IT infrastructure management solutions on marketing efforts. If you have no idea what any of that means, have no fear, neither did I until a few weeks ago.

First things first, what is Kaseya? Well, Kaseya is the leading provider of complete IT infrastructure management solutions for both managed service providers (MSPs) and internal IT organizations worldwide. You can learn more about Kaseya here.

The first month has been a whirlwind: In the first two weeks it was a lot of training sessions and self-guided study, and then from meetings, to my first business trip, to time spent searching certain Kaseya related acronyms on Google, there has hardly been a moment for me to catch my breath. Luckily for me, that’s just the way I like it, and my days at Kaseya never cease to keep me on my toes.

Instead of walking you through all the nitty-gritty details of my time spent, I thought I would share some of my favorite things about Kaseya, and some of the most important things I have learned during my short time here.

Here are four things that stand out about Kaseya after my first 30 days:

Customer First Approach

At Kaseya, we do more than just say that we put our customers first. Our priority is to provide an exceptional customer experience, both at the point of sale and post that. It’s seems to be a mindset across the entire organization, because everyone I met works from a customer-centric standpoint rather than a product-centric perspective.

Great Leadership

Kaseya has a great leadership team that really understands the path forward and values both customers and employees. Whether we are talking to the CEO, Fred Voccola or Paul Farr, EVP, we are typically able to find a quick resolution to our questions. I was really amazed by the fact that the senior leadership team spent three days with employees for an internal company event listening to presentations, answering every question, getting feedback, participating very often, and playing their part.

I was especially impressed to meet our CEO – Fred Voccola, under whose leadership, I learned that Kaseya’s market value jumped from $85M to $275M in just 2.5 Years by focusing on customers and employees. Impressive, isn’t it?

One Big Team

Together is power. If you can’t tell, Kaseya’s brand is built on the belief there is power in working together to achieve success. I’m constantly impressed with the level of collaboration and willingness to adjust course as needed. It did take me a good 2 weeks to remember everyone’s name but by now I can recognize who’s saying “good morning” or “see you tomorrow” without looking (most of the time!).

Think Big

As a tech company, innovation is necessary to stay ahead of the curve, ahead of the competition. But thinking creatively isn’t just limited to the engineers. Leadership encourages it in all facets of the organization, including on my Product Management & Marketing team.

Working for a company that never settles means you won’t face a stagnant career! Kaseya is a place to carry out your big ideas, develop new skills and advance your career.

Onward and Upward

My first month at Kaseya and in Bangalore has been incredible. I am grateful to be doing a job I love at such a diverse and global company. I am thankful for my boss (Michael Yang) and mentors (Matt Machado, Tracy Hernandez) who allow me to ask questions, and who trust me to follow my gut and learn on the job. I look forward to what else the future holds.

Thirty days ago, I walked into Kaseya with high expectations and I’m happy to say Kaseya exceeded them all. I’m proud to work alongside an inspiring team doing work full of purpose. I look forward to all the experiences and learning Kaseya will bring!

That sums up the main highlights of my first month at Kaseya. As you can read, every day brings something new. It’s a challenging job, where I have to put my knowledge to the test, but most importantly, I’m loving it to the max! The tech industry is my passion and I could not be happier.

And just to let you all know – we’re still hiring! ??
