This article is an actual experience of figuring out the best CBSE School for my son here in Tiruvannamalai. Certain situations compel you for a change, its better to go with the flow than to resist. That's how my journey of checking out CBSE schools in Tiruvannamalai started. On a general note, schools in B Cities / Districts / Villages don't offer the experience and exposure a child would get in a Metro. I am a resident of the Great Arunachala / Tiruvannamalai and was facing similar issues in my child's schooling. I got lucky when my computer got into an issue. Guess what, the hardware vendor was talking to me about the greatness of My First School International , Tiruvannamalai while fixing the machine.

Generally, I believe a parent would recommend only if a visible positive difference is noticed in his / her kid's progress. Once the hardware was fixed, I immediately started my drive towards the school. The first thing to notice, when you hit the school campus is the Architecture Marvel. Its unique, natural and the scorching heat of Arunachala failed to find its way inside. It was cool inside without an Air-conditioner. The principal, was kind enough, knowledgeable with a good command on the language. Am I in Tiruvannamalai? Great!

A staff was assigned to show me the campus tour. The campus was Clean O Clean! I entered into an empty classroom and I guess that was my first Wow moment in the school. You might be wondering what "wow" would prevail in an empty classroom. It was the black board that had a Maths Sum Solved. The clarity, handwriting and the method in which it was solved was a class by itself. It was delivering a message on its own. Its was like a knowledge signature of the teacher who delivered it. I was impressed. I requested a demo-session for my son and the Principal was kind enough to grant. Generally at schools people would simply turn you off when asked for a demo-session.

" Superb", can people teach like this also Appa?" is what he said as a first note of the feedback. It was clear, My First School International, Tiruvannamalai has a great line-up of teachers who deliver through practical demonstrations wherever necessary. The amount of importance given to music along with unique importance to our traditional musical instruments is the best treat for children here. Parai, Violin, Mridhangam and many more has firm roots here. They are clearly using music as an alternate to meditation and I personally feel its a great thought.

Children sit on the floor and learn. A clean mat is provided for them to sit along with a small handy individual bench. Kids are barefooted. The barefoot openly showcase respect that one should carry for education. This article would not complete without talking about Mr. Raja Prakasam, Chairman, My First School International, Tiruvannamalai. He is the Visionary behind this whole new experiential school. He looks young, simple with great ideologies. His efforts are towards delivering what kids of today need at school. Mr. Raja has created a platform for kids to blossom & ensures every initiative is executed well. I guess this much is enough to reap results. I would see him in #TED soon. All the Best My First School International ! Even if you are not looking for a change, I would recommend a drop in and look around. You will definitely feel happy about this initiative in Learning and Development. I am equally excited to record the journey of my son here. I would keep posting his progress a little later.
