My first client

My first client

Hi network,

Finally, my 1st official client at EY has come to an end after 3 months of hectic work and a rigorous audit season. Despite this time being one of the toughest times of my life where I was first exposed to the competitive corporate world and the stress of the firm life, the learnings, and the experience I have undergone have duly compensated for that.

Here are some of the key takeaways which I would like to share.

1)?Communication skills go beyond public speaking, and ability to articulate well. In its essence, it means the ability to convey your point to the other party with effect and getting your work done with ease. It is knowing what to say, when to say, and how to say.

2) You’ll never find the perfect clients with perfect cooperation. You will find some troublesome, some cooperative but it is upon you to get the work done smoothly.

3)?Audit is all about teamwork. You are part of a team, and you are expected to be a team player where you assist your team members if you are done with your part.

4) Even in the tough times of the peak season, it is still possible to maintain a work-life balance and give some time to other priorities and commitments in life if one finishes his work assigned with honesty and diligence.

5)?Lastly, the friends and the memories you make during your articleship life will be lifelong and have an indelible imprint in your life. Cherish these years and try to live life to the fullest during your CA journey.
