My First Christmas Alone

Journaling and New Beginnings
Hello friends,
For the very first time in my life, I spent Christmas alone. Growing up, my family never gathered for Christmas because my dad’s birthday is January 1st. Instead of having two celebrations, we’d combine everything into one big New Year’s celebration. But spending Christmas alone in 2024? That wasn’t on my bucket list this year.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be. I spent the day in bed, watching Christmas movies and playing games, and honestly, I didn’t even shower. Later, I ordered in because I was too tired to cook or eat earlier. I wasn’t sad or lonely, however. Deep down, I felt like this might be the only Christmas I’d spend alone in a while—and that next year’s Christmas might be way louder than I’d like. But you know what? Bring it on—I’m ready!
Oh, and one more thing! I’ve started a new TikTok account (yes, I know it’s my fifth one!). It would be lovely if you could follow me there. On another note, I had been thinking about combining my two TikTok accounts into one, but I quickly realised they’d never mix. My social media management content will always be my business page on?Thesocialmediaoga, while?Bolaji Billions?will remain my personal lifestyle account. With this personal account, I hope to grow as a skincare creator while sharing my Jesus Baby content.?
Speaking of goals, I recently posted about creating my physical vision board (it's on the Tiktok account), and let me tell you—it wasn’t easy! It was my first time, so it took a while to get the hang of it. But now it’s done and sitting pretty on my wall. I lay my hands on it every morning and pray over my goals, dreams, and aspirations. It’s already such a powerful habit, and I encourage you to try it if you haven’t!
Another new habit I’ve started is?prayer journaling. I began this last week, and for anyone who’s been wanting to start a prayer journal, I’m here to help! I’ll be creating a detailed YouTube video soon to guide you through sectioning your journal and what to write.
I’ve also started keeping a?daily journal?in which I write letters to God. Since some people struggle with what to write in their journals, I’ve put together some prompts to help.

Below are my?Week 1 and Week 2 prompts for January:
January: Foundation & New Beginnings
Theme:?Laying a solid foundation in Christ for the year ahead.
Week 1: Gratitude and Vision
Week 2: Spiritual Discipline
To clarify, this daily journal is separate from my prayer journal. That’s two journals I’m currently using! If you’re interested, I’d love to hear how journaling is going for you as a Christian.
I’m also preparing to return to Instagram. I’m not dreading it, but I’m grateful for the break I took. Being scrutinised because I have many followers—or because I openly identify as a Jesus Baby Girl can be overwhelming at times.
I’ll share the remaining prompts for January next week, as God inspires me.
As we prepare for 2025, I’m already practising new habits and working on my goals. Have you started working on yours yet? Let’s be intentional together.
Happy New Year in advance, my friends. I genuinely love writing to you weekly, and I look forward to hearing from you, especially about your Christian journaling journey.
That’s all for now!?
Stay blessed, and see you soon.?

2 个月Eii! ?? Thank you so much for sharing this Omobolaji Ajibare. This has boosted my morale in no small way and I am definitely adopting this template. Concerning working on goals, I have started working on mine too and I feel it's very important has it helps you maintain the right momentum in the new year. Also, one can easily slack on journaling if he/she is not deliberate and consistent in doing it. But I really love the idea because I also love journaling and all I am hoping and praying for is to make it an habit. ?? Thank you once again for this Insightful post.
