My First Article Will Release The Quacken
TL;DR I introduce myself, rubber ducking, show ducks, thank people, say goodbye.
Introduction
The only way to start my first post is:
Hello World!
I'm Tom, an engineer, Teakwondo master (in training*) and lover of baked goods. I've decided today that I'll post more on LinkedIn about some topics that I find interesting, the style I'm going for is less serious and slightly comedic, which closely aligns to my natural talking style.
You should all know that I cant spell and I'll be heavily reliant on auto correct to assist me here. They say you're English or Maths and I'm 200% the latter ... no comment.
Ducks
Lets kick off then by addressing the big duck. We're all familiar with the 'rubber ducking' phenomenon I hope, but if not, you can read about it here.
I always found this practice amusing to say the least, but still I participate and have my very own 'family' of ducks to talk to when I've exhausted the pool of the real humans. Lets give them a round of applause!

I've spent the last few years randomly acquiring ducks on holiday, as gifts or from a bag of thousands my good friend Joe Hopper brought in once at BJSS!
If you've never tried talking to a duck about your problems, I encourage it!
Farewell
That's all I've got to say in this post but look forward to upcoming posts about architecture, networking and testing. These are inspired by my unofficial mentors in the tech world and have helped me endlessly. A big thank you to Nick Lee , Steven Pears , Andy Scott and Jack Gough .
A last thank you to a person who inspired me to start writing this one, that's Mario D. . This is me taking the first step!
See you next time, we've officially release the quacken!
