I recently came across an interesting post about personal branding, and it really resonated with me. It reminded me of my own journey and how I struggled with my visibility factor during my first appraisal.
?? ???????????????? ???? ?????????????? ?????????????:
I asked my peers on how to improve, and they told me to always be a "yes man," hover around my boss and constantly appreciate them.
But that didn't feel authentic to me, so I decided to focus on my work and create value for my customers instead and you know what?
It worked!?
I received great feedback and felt proud of myself for finding a formula that worked for me.
But then, in my third year, I received the same feedback again. It was like being back to square one. I was confused and didn't know what to do.
I started networking with relevant people, and it started to work.
???????????????? ???????????????? ???? ?????? ????????:
Creating your personal brand isn't easy, but it's worth it.
Here are some things that helped me:
????? ??????????????????: Don't pretend to be someone you're not. Be true to yourself and your values.
????? ???????? ???? ????????????????: Always look for opportunities to learn and grow, both professionally and personally.
??????????? ???? ???????????????? ??????????: Put your customers first and focus on creating value for them.
??????????????? ???????? ???????????????? ????????????: Build relationships with people who can help you achieve your goals.
????????? ?????? ?????? ?????? ??????: Take the time to reflect on your strengths, weaknesses, values, and goals.
But if you stay true to yourself and focus on creating value for others, you'll be well on your way to success.
Let's work on building our personal brands together!??

1 年Networking is an area ignored by so many, especially women, who believe that they need to rush home after work for family and hence stay out of the networking race. But networking does not only mean joining the men and women for a smoke or an after office drinks session. Network is all about how you build your equity with your stakeholders and those around you - during work hours also.
