My First 20 Years in Recruiting

This month I celebrate entering the field of recruiting 20 years ago. It has been an incredible journey filled with career growth, celebrations, challenges, opportunities to rise above failure, lots of amazing people, and a host of incredible stories.

Over the next 11 months, look for posts that include observations for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.

With over 6,000 interviews, a combination of corporate and agency recruitment, and over 100 organizations supported, I hope to shed light on our profession. I’ve certainly enjoyed the first 20 years and plan for 20 more. Hope you find my commentary helpful as you grow your career, your team, and your organization.

For now, I hope you enjoy my favorite quote and what continues to tie it all together. So thankful that Scott Hibberts shared one of Zig Ziglar's books with me in 1992. It resonated then and continues to be my focus decades later. Zig was right!
