Everything started on October 25th,2019. I remembered this day clearly as yesterday, how I felt, the excitement of being on LinkedIn Offices, meeting its awesome people and teams; I remembered the view from their office and how Toronto looks like from that spot.
When I arrived in Canada I proposed that I would not only study my post-graduate course, I would expose myself to new learning and networking opportunity. and when I found about the LinkedIn Learning Champion Program, I wanted to get involved.
From the first moment within the training sessions, I found this as an amazing opportunity for me to learn, and be exposed to an amazing network.
My first step was taking courses from LinkedIn Learning, learning more about Financial and Business Analyst. I enjoyed the time with those courses.
With a slower start, I had the support from Professor Susan Kates, who helped me with my first project #Lil_CertificationPartyChallenge2020, I was able to reach 100+ students who got their profile improved and got some LinkedIn Learning Certifications.
After some sessions held with students at the college and at the college residence, I was invited to be a part of the OPMC 2020 organized by Project Management Institute. It was really exciting working with Ewa Aleksiewicz and Jasmine Santodonato and shared my knowledge about "Rock your LinkedIn Profile".
I wrote several posts and articles sharing my experiences and knowledge about LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning.
With the COVID-19 pandemic's affecting everyone, I want to help with other aspects of LinkedIn aside from teaching others how to improve their LinkedIn profile. I committed myself to give an Agile workshop series. Those sessions were amazing and I felt very grateful for the participants and new numbers of views.
One final project that I was involved in with other champions was the #ONStudentsNeedLiL to tell why LinkedIn Learning is a great tool for students in Ontario.
I believe that the LinkedIn Learning Champion Program is an amazing opportunity, from which I've learned many things for which I am thankful. This program challenged me to be out of my comfort zone holding sessions with more than 70 people in English, a language that is not my mother tongue. I wasn't comfortable with recording myself and the LinkedIn Learning Champion Program pushed me to start doing it and I could tell my skills were improved.
I feel thankful for this amazing learning process through the past seven months, one which has allowed me to meet with great people.
