My favourite bits from the Google I/O 2024 event series

Happy Tuesday, everyone! :)

As I'm still trying to absorb the huge amount of information from a super fast-paced onboarding and start at 谷歌 , I'd like to share some of my favourite insights after having watched the Google I/O 2024 event series just before I joined the company!

It's very worth watching to be up to date to the latest #AItrends and big products being launched by Google and they have a few short videos super easy to watch in case you're short on time.

First thing that really caught my attention were the Gemini for Workspace features being rolled out. Smart assistants to help you better sort your email threads, to participate in chats and help conversations be more effective and get to the point and to help prepare materials seem like something that's going to make everyone's lives so much easier and at the same time really change how we use our time at work. Very excited to see this rolled out and observe how it will impact workplace settings in general.

Second, the Gemini Keynote and seeing how advanced the research on this already is and can be incorporated into the products we already use on the day to day routine is another thing I'm really excited about. It'll make our choices and information so much more targeted and help us spend way more times actually living through real life experiences, in my opinion.

Third, seeing how Search and Infrastructure will be powered by the Gemini era and be able to search, research, plan, brainstorm and more also caught my attention into how Google can do so much work for you so you can focus on what really matters. Very excited to see this coming to life and how it changes people's habits for the better.

As I mentioned, super worth watching if you want to just update yourself, be inspired or see some very cool things in action! Hope it's worth the watch! As a final note, the Developer talk was also super cool and potentially very much worth the watch if you're into developing code using AI.
