My Favorite Quotes on Perseverance

My Favorite Quotes on Perseverance

I am often told that I am a persistent person and never give up. It seems to me that perseverance is somewhat similar to courage in the sense that one can be courageous while being terrified. If someone is persistent, this does not mean that they don't want to give up and leave everything to hell.

I use many techniques that help me to get up and move on every time I want to stop. Sometimes even a little reminder like a favorite quote is enough. I decided to collect them all in one place and sometimes re-read them. Hopefully, they will be useful to you too.

"It always seems impossible until it's done."―Nelson Mandela

"The difference between the difficult and the impossible is that the impossible takes a little longer time."―Lady Aberdeen

"It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer."―Albert Einstein

"I am a slow walker, but I never walk back."―Abraham Lincoln

"Courage is not having the strength to go on; it is going on when you don't have the strength."―Theodore Roosevelt

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."―Winston Churchill

"Don’t be ashamed by your mistakes, they only prove that you try hard and never give up."―Riley Czarkowski

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."―Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm."―Winston Churchill

"If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again."―Flavia Weedn

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, ‘press on’ has solved, and always will solve, the problems of the human race."―Calvin Coolidge
