My failed launch

My failed launch

What I learned from it, and my future plans

The online business space is filled with “look at me and my easy 6-figure launches”, but not many business owners talk about their failed launches.?

I’ve always been honest and open with you. Today is no different.

I’ve launched my program, Sales Pipeline Accelerator (or as I call it, SPA), 3 times in the past 2 years. But I’ve only had one or two applicants every time I launched it.

So even though I worked hard and planned on opening two groups this year, I didn’t open any.

The last launch was a complete mess:

?? My email automation broke multiple times, and most subscribers didn’t get a few of the emails, or got emails earlier than when they were supposed to be sent.

?? I was down with bronchitis, right after celebrating my son’s Bar Mitzvah, and wasn’t “available” for the launch.

But above all, the real issue had to do with my messaging and target audience.

I tried selling something that wasn’t targeting my ideal client.?

In the beginning of 2024, I decided to shift my focus to a new ideal client - bigger companies that are ready to scale, ready to invest, and understand that they need to slow down a little bit now to speed up later.

Shifting my marketing strategy in the first months of 2024 and then launching something for a different target audience made no sense.

No wonder my audience was confused!

I was really hoping that it’d be a success. This launch came after a quiet period in my business, and I wanted it to help boost the business again.

It’s a good program. I know it. My first group proved it too.

But it’s not worth my time and effort to launch it again and again. Not now, at least.

So yes, my last launch was a “fail” in the sense of me not opening a new group.

And I could’ve spiralled down and felt bad about it.

But instead, I chose to ask myself:

?? What can my team and I learn from it?

?? What are the implications of it?

Asking and answering these questions was hard.?

You build something that you believe in SO much and then it doesn’t work… It's heart-breaking!

And yet, in every other aspect, this launch was a success.?

It was a business lesson, a messaging lesson, and it lit a fire in me that I hadn’t felt in a while.

Launching it this time was a bad decision, and we all make bad decisions. It’s how we deal with them that makes a difference..

We can't afford, mentally and financially, to spiral and go down that route… That’s the easiest thing to do!

But it would be the worst decision, because it doesn’t help you, your business, or your clients. And climbing out of that dark hole is really, really hard.

So what will happen with the Sales Pipeline Accelerator from now on?

The waitlist will remain open, but I won’t launch it again in the foreseeable future.?

The Do-It-Yourself version of the program is available to you here at any point for only $495.

The purpose of this newsletter has always been to provide you with whizdom to help you scale your business with the right processes and tools. And that’s not going to change.

I appreciate you for being here, commenting, and sharing your feedback with me. I don’t take it for granted.
