My Experience in a Data Visualization Course Using Tableau and Alteryx.
This past semester, I took a course over Data Visualization with Professor Juveria B. . Throughout this semester, I gained a lot of knowledge over how to use Tableau and Alteryx using specific tools to create charts and analyze data.?
There are a couple things I enjoyed learning from my experiences with both Tableau and Alteryx.?
One thing about Tableau I enjoyed is the fact that Tableau encourages users to be imaginative in their data analysis and visualization is one of the best things about it. I was able to quickly and easily construct a variety of charts, graphs, and visualizations with its drag-and-drop interface to show their data in an interesting and captivating way. Another interesting thing about tableau that I enjoyed was the interactive dashboards in Tableau. These dashboards give users the ability to build an interactive, real-time presentation of their data. Users can enhance their dashboards with filters, sliders, and other interactive features that let users go down and study the data in more depth.
As for Alteryx, If Alteryx and Tableau are used together, users can easily move their data from Alteryx to Tableau for visualization. This integration facilitates user transition from data preparation to data visualization, resulting in a more effective workflow for projects involving data analysis. Another interesting feature was that I could design custom workflows in Alteryx to streamline data preparation activities. Users can construct repeatable procedures using this tool, which will help them work faster and more effectively on subsequent data analysis assignments.
