My Experience at Autodesk DevCon 2024: Innovation and Inspiration

First of all, yesterday was my birthday! :) It was truly special to share this day with the Autodesk team. I want to thank them for everything—the organization and the speeches were outstanding. There was a wealth of knowledge shared, and I’m grateful to myself for deciding to participate.

Attending Autodesk DevCon 2024 was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. In just two days, it’s challenging to absorb such a vast amount of information without feeling overwhelmed, but that wasn’t the case here. Everything was meticulously organized to allow people to interact and take breaks between each presentation. I didn’t feel pressured, and, most importantly, there were no boring moments—an impressive feat for such a technical event.

A Closer Look at the Two Days

My agenda was focused on seeking inspiration, answering business questions, and understanding the future of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) world in technical terms. The goal was perfectly met.

The conference was centered around data analysis and the innovative new services Autodesk is developing for the AEC world. These developments aim to address the numerous questions from designers, developers, and all the companies involved in the construction ecosystem. As a developer, I had the opportunity to share my experiences, resolve doubts, and connect with companies tackling ambitious challenges—some of them based in my own city. This was fantastic for finding inspiring projects.

I am enthusiastic about the rapid pace at which this field is advancing. The presentations on AI at DevCon conveyed that things we once only dreamed of are becoming reality. Events like this are fantastic for realizing that it’s time to move forward and that it’s never too late to pursue your dream project.
