My evolution that happened in minutes- A MUST-READ ????

This past Tuesday, I wrote something for a particular purpose.

It was for a service I offer so I did it carefully because it had to be good.

This particular activity has been on my to-do list for quite a while so on this Tuesday, I was really looking forward to completing it.

When I was done, it looked really good and I was proud of myself that I had finally completed it.

I checked it off my list with my eyes lit with happiness and fulfillment.??

You know that feeling you have when you finally complete a task or achieve something that has been on your mind for a long time???

Yep! This was me on this particular Tuesday, after I finished.

Although I had finished the writing....

I didn’t want to put it out that same day.

So I decided to chill till Wednesday, and then I continued my day.

Wednesday came and you won’t believe what happened....

I brought out this work and read through it.

Guess what happened!

I felt a little bit ashamed.

Yes, the same me that wrote this some hours ago!

I wondered if I was the one who produced such work.

Don’t get me wrong, this work was good.

You might even see it as quality work if I showed it to you.

However, for the level I was at the day after ( ie on Wednesday), it was substandard!

I quickly started making some edits and improvements to the work.

This particular occurrence made me understand the possibility of "growing in the space of hours, minutes, and even seconds, such that you are consistently and excellently improving on your work.

This is the secret to relevance!

Are you getting better by the second, minute, hour or day?

When you look at what you wrote on January 1st or last week, are there things you see and you’re like, Did I really write this?

Not just writing but whatever it is you do.

Is your output from the recent past surprising your present? This is what determines what the future will look like over time.

Look at the iPhone and how they improve on their models and iOS. Improvement, among other things, is sustaining and significantly growing that company.

When last did you improve or add to your knowledge in that field?

Sounds cliche but if you were called to be a keynote speaker on your craft last week and you are called again this week to speak on the same subject matter, will you say the exact same thing?

When last did you not only release a new product or service but intentionally improve on the one you already had?

Based on the results and your level of expertise in the sector you play in, can you be accorded a Ph.D.?

This was a question I was asked at a particular conference I recently attended.

Based on your answers to the questions I asked above, you now know what to do after closing this love letter.

I repeat, this is the secret of relevance.

I pray you understand the weight of this letter and how significantly it can change your business or career if the wisdom here can be used correctly.

While people overestimate what they can get or achieve in a year when setting their goals, your focus should be on how you can evolve in a matter of seconds, minutes, hours, and days.

Your work from yesterday (days or weeks ago) should make you a little bit ashamed today.

If you don’t grow consistently, you might argue and think what I'm saying is impossible, but I am speaking based on experience.

Instead of arguing with the possibility of this, look for ways you too can grow and experience it.

Because no career or business can grow beyond the person/people spearheading it......

Set out growth channels that will help you grow daily. Videos? Podcasts? Praying in tongues (for your faith and boldness)? Books? Joining strategic communities? Interacting with those who are living the life you dream of and having the results you desire?

Here is one backend story I forgot to share earlier: The night of that Tuesday, on which I created the writing, I attended a session of one of the communities I belong to.

I interacted with some individuals who, of course, were wayyyyyy ahead of me in business/carer. I believe that action expanded my thought process to the extent that the next morning, I was not who I was the day before.

Hence, the reason why my job from the previous day made me ashamed.????

It sounds funny, but there’s deep counsel here.

So this could be your sign to engage in something of this sort.
