My Elbert: What is the Ultimate Victory in Christ?

Both divine favor and blessings are expressions of God's love, grace, and care for His children, and they work together to bring about His purposes in their lives. In our journey of faith, there are moments when we are called to take bold actions in accordance with God's will. These moments often come with a mix of fear and doubt, but it is precisely in those moments that divine courage arises. It is a gift from God, a wellspring of strength that enables us to overcome our fears and doubts, trusting in His guidance and provision.

"For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." - Romans 8:14

There are moments in life when we experience an inner prompting, a gentle nudging from God to do something good for someone or to avoid a certain situation. It may not seem random or coincidental because it is God speaking to us through His Spirit. We must pay attention to these promptings and take them seriously. When we feel a sense of uneasiness or a voice within us saying, "Stay away," it is God's way of protecting us. We should not ignore these signals, overanalyze them, or try to rationalize them away. Instead, we should simply obey.

The Holy Spirit resides within us to guide us along the right path. The Scripture encourages us to be sensitive to our "inner ear", to listen to His still small voice, and to pay attention to the promptings, suggestions, and alarms He presents to us. When we sense these inner impressions, we should not engage in debates or dismiss them lightly. Even if something seems safe on the surface but lacks a sense of peace, we should trust God's guidance and follow His leading. We must resist the temptation to overanalyze or talk ourselves out of what we know deep down to be "right".

When we choose to obey God's promptings, blessings are sure to follow. Even if it may not make logical sense or seem convenient at the time, any act of obedience to what we sense God is asking us to do will always yield a positive outcome. We should not hesitate to extend kindness, offer help, or follow the direction given by God's Spirit within us. As children of God, we are called to be led by His Spirit and to trust that He will guide us along the best path for our lives. Let us not dismiss or undermine the significance of these inner promptings, but instead embrace them with faith and obedience, knowing that God's blessings are found in our willingness to respond to His guidance. -goingupsoon

When faced with adversity, remember that your strength does not come from your own abilities or circumstances, but from the divine wellspring of strength that flows from your faith in God. It is through your faith that you can overcome any challenge and persevere, knowing that God is by your side every step of the way. It is also important to remember that every believer has been given at least one spiritual gift. God, in His wisdom, has distributed these gifts to His people according to His divine plan. No gift is insignificant or less important than another. Each gift is bestowed by the Holy Spirit for the common good of the Church.

Recognizing and understanding our spiritual gifts is crucial for us to fully engage in the work of God's kingdom. By discovering and utilizing our gifts, we participate in the larger story of God's redemptive work, actively contributing to the growth and edification of the body of Christ. The verse 1 John 5:4 states, "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." In this verse, there are divine truths and promises that we can glean:

Our gifts are not meant for self-promotion or personal gain, but rather for the exaltation of God's name and the service of others.?

Help them to rest in the assurance that You are in control, working all things together for their good.

When we faithfully steward our gifts, we demonstrate our love for God and our commitment to His purposes. By using our gifts in unity and cooperation with fellow believers, we create a harmonious and effective body that reflects the love and power of God. As we operate in our spiritual gifts, we bring glory to God, build up the body of Christ, and impact the world around us with the transformative message of the Gospel.
