The image for this post is still under construction in my head. Thanks to fabulous Nick Parker for helping me to distill it, and encouraging me to write it up.
Life, for me, is about three things: living my values, living intentionally and always thinking about the end user.
It took me a while to discover what my values are called. And a bit like love, once you know - you know! Mine are kindness, integrity and fun!
Kindness first, because we are built to be kind, to each other and to ourselves. So easy to forget, yet so powerful. Its in the small things, as well as big. I often play a game when walking down the street - how many faces wear a pleasant expression. Often a few, but smiling at someone usually sparks a moment of light in them too. I choose to live in the world that is kind.
Integrity, the strongest foundation there is. I realised how crucial integrity is to me when I became mum. And the delirious joy I felt when we discovered the School 21, whose values completely aligned with ours. I love being the master of my word, and it is ingrained in our family's pfilosophy.
Fun! Last, but most definitely not least! Because without it, what is the point? I look for fun in every situation, everyday and every interaction. And when it is missing, I make sure to find it. Try it, you will be sure to love it!
