My Domus, vers. 2.0

My Domus, vers. 2.0

I am astonished over the number of views and ‘likes’ allotted to my recent spur-of-the-moment Domus photo taken whilst enjoying a Teeling Irish Whiskey. So, I thought to humbly expand a snapshot photo essay on the subject during these idle times.

Carol and I renovated and expanded our mid-20thc Calgary bungalow 14 years ago to provide a holistic setting for our then-working lives and eventual retirement. Self-isolation in 2020 was not anticipated, yet our Domus is daily proving its worth, while we remain in close quarters together.

To quote Cicero, included on my personal email signature:

"If you have a garden and library, you have everything you need."

Looks great I’m jealous. Of the garden and the whiskey. From Saudi Arabia.

Thanks for sharing more photos. Is it your sanctuary. Now show us your library shelves. What are you reading.
