MY DOG ATE MY GWR TRAIN TICKET REFUND
On 14 May 2017 I was delayed on a GWR train and became entitled to a refund of the ticket price. I put my application in the following day. On 14 December 2017 GWR emailed me to say that they had "arranged for a cheque to be sent to me". When no cheque arrived I chased them and on 13 January 2018 I received an email from them saying that they had a " slight backlog" (clearly going back to May 2017!) and that there had been a delay in the delivery of their cheques "due to the festive period". Furthermore and helpfully I was told that I should not chase them again until next month. I hope that I live long enough to get my GWR ticket refund. I am 61 but I do not smoke and I take lots of exercise. On balance I think that it is about 50/50.....

7 年I echo the sentiments above. Tell them how you survived on nothing but a goat for three months in the Congo.... that’s a ticket letter in itself.

7 年Jeremy; glad you have put this out there after our conversation yesterday. I do expect GWR to be far more swift when it comes to refunds. Let me know if I can do anything more on this; you are not alone!
