My Daddy was Dr. Stephen L. Berman

My Daddy did this really cool thing when I was about 7 years old, he'd buy little cheap toys for about 50 cents each, put them in a large brown paper bag! If Larry & I were very good that day & quiet, (he didn't like it when we were loud or I jumped on the couch) he'd let us put our hand in a chose a little toy at the end of the day around 7:30 pm! I don't remember exactly maybe a small plastic bear or bunny type trinkets, I'm not sure where he even got them 4m Raiders or Big Top? But I loved it, looked 4ward 2 that each night, it was the summer & we were not in day camp, I guess it was hard to keep us quiet & well behaved! I thought we were pretty good! Then he hid the bag again until the next night, very cool & cleaver 4 a high school A.P. Statistics teacher! We use to eat At Rockwells restaurant when we were kids & after we ate off the kids menu, you'd get to pick a toy out of the treasure chest! That was fun, my usual was probably chicken fingers & french fries w/BBQ sauce & a vanilla ice cream sundae 4 dessert! When I was older like 14 or 15, Daddy made a star chart just 4 me, because him & my pediatrician thought I was off the growth chart in the 5% range & small, skinny & needed 2 gain wt! I was kinda forced 2! I remember the gold stars! I was about 5'1'' & 84 pounds, he'd make angel hair spagetie w/hunts tomato sauce, ketup, sautéed onions & it was good, I had O.J. in my sippy cup, yes I had a doubled handled toddler Sippy cup, even a plastic bib so I didn't get sauce all over my shirt! I was babied even more then! A big plate of skettie 2! Then Daddy would make me a Dolly Madison 32oz milkshake it was good, once it was like hazelnut! The chart was like he wanted me to be 86.5 pounds soon and gain about 2 lbs a week till I got 2 / 90 pounds! I think I stayed in the 86 pound range! If I got all the stars I think I got a small toy at Sears 2 pick out! My brother didn't have that problem, he weighted almost 100 pounds when he was 9 I think, Daddy should have made a star chart 4 him 2 lose weight! I was always very skinny & Daddy was always wanting me to eat! B4 high school some mornings he made me breakfast a pizza bagel w/baked beans or cereal like fruit & fiber & shreaded wheat! If it was up 2 me, I wouldn't eat until dinner. I never ate at school I went 2 the library 2 read old Parents Magazines from the 1988-1993. I was very into baby car seats & reading about toddler issues, I had a pretend sister doll, I was very imaginative, he never gave me the baby sister I was promised, he said he couldn't afford 2 have another kid or maybe it was because I slept in the middle of my parents as a child! Christian Mc*y Mazze, This is the last of my sisters blogs so far, I hope U enjoyed them all! Please tell me if U would be interested in her writing, she's a prolific writer & likes to tell it as it is! As any good writer she keeps it real!!! Would any1 be interested in helping her publish a book or an article, freelance writing? I'm sure it needs editing & whatnot, but I think we can all relate to the fact that this isn't the prefect sitcom family, this is real life how it is!
