My Dad!!

There is that fuel which no one sees, but all know that’s the one which impels you to high and far. It combusts itself to ensure that you take off and grapple the high sky. That’s how I comprehend the Dads in this world. While all other relations in human life are much feted and commemorated, Dads are mostly those unsung heroes who always favor to be at offstage.
In 40 years of my subsistence I can recollect hardly a moment when I would have discernibly bonded emotionally to my Dad, but all these years there is not a single trice I have missed to fathom the profundity in those eyes, how much he feels and cares of us. Dads are always men of scarce words. They are perhaps the only ones who really don’t expect anything back; like a candle which burnt itself out just to warrant that all around have that light to find their own ways.
As a kid when you have your Dad beside, there is nothing that looks impossible. While there would be those toys at the stores that the money you have cannot buy, still you have the feeling that you still own the entire market. That’s how I always felt like a kid with my Dad.
I still remember those schooldays, every Independence Day morning on way to school he gave us 1 Rupee to indulge, and I can bet my life that I still don’t earn much to feel the contentment which candies bought on that 1 Rupee bequeathed.
He served in Indian Army, and those days the army men had those long tarpaulin mackintosh. I still remember those rainy days when he dropped us at school when we were late or missed our buses. He hid us under his long mackintosh; I am yet to feel that sense of safety and warmth while I have grown up big and have a son of my own.
When you grow and be triumphant in your life, you would always see those glimmering happy tears in your mom’s eyes, but you would always miss to notice how bosom of your Dad swells with pride. You can’t blame, that’s how the world is wired to be!
I know I don’t require a special day, a father’s day to celebrate my Dad, but just thought I should pen this because all sons and daughters in this world feel the same for their Dad!
Happy Father’s Day Daddy!!
