My connected microwave refused to pop my corn: I already had 50grams of sugar today

Artificial Intelligence is not a tech trend, it is the most important technology development in our lifetimes. It’s the third era of computing.

Who benefits AI? What is at stake with AI?

In its most basic form, artificial intelligence is a system that makes autonomous decisions

"AI is a branch of computer science in which computers are programmed to do things that normally require human intelligence. This includes learning, reasoning, problem solving, understanding language and perceiving a situation or environment.

AI is an extremely large, broad field, which uses its own computer languages and even special kinds of computer networks are modelled from our human brains.”*

Can the medical industry and/or other industries benefit from artificial intelligence? Could AI destroy more jobs than create jobs? But

Is this question actually the main one we should ask ourselves?

Because of the limitless economic impact AI has on entreprise and politics, we are obsessed by it. AI is the promise of a new world: a secure and optimised world.

We discuss so many various topics about it, we occult this fact: one of the main functions of AI is to tell The Truth.

What a significant power! Because it interprets data ? that can’t lie ?, it should be trustworthy and better than us.

Because AI will know the truth, what other choice do we have but to follow it’s recommendations? Leaving us freedom to make decisions at the same time: our own capacity to judge and act.

Each Truth aims to generate actions, an automated invisible hand in our everyday lives. Each everyday phenomena will be analysed to generate money, or at least be orientated in an utilitarian way.

#Normative #rationality is a major threat to human creativity and the ability to think, to make decision for ourselves.

It is imperative to think about humanity, our humanism at a higher level before considering industry specifics (good for medical research..) or even the potential loss of work.

With AI, humanity will enter a new system in which Humans do not have the space to be human

What do we wish for Humanity? What should we wish for Humanity? This is the real core question of AI.

Digital history is arriving at a new stage where we Collect, Stock and Index data.

Our concern should be for #privacy first, but our vision should be even bigger. Information are readily available.

Google stopped being a research engine a while ago.. It is a data stocking company. Aren’t we all aware that they will use our data to sell (their) products?

I am neither a scientist nor an expert in AI, I’m just a human being connecting ideas. My strength in this topic is my independence. I am not paid by anyone to promote anything. I am just (an optimist!) thinker.

The future has not happened yet.
I invite each and every one of us to take our personal responsibility to design a future worth living in
